2010 Census Leadership Training and Conference
1/23/2010 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
CWA Hall, 3521 East Lake Street Minneapolis, MN 55406-2120
The 2010 Census is an important opportunity for all us, citizens and non-citizens, to stand up and build a better tomorrow! Our numbers influence funding for our community, including schools, hospitals, housing, roads, jobs, political representation, and much more. Our participation will build recognition, respect, and power for our communities! We need to make sure everyone is counted!
At this conference, learn about the key messages and outreach strategies organizations across the country are using to encourage census participation among the most under-represented communities. Work with other community leaders to develop action plans for your city, your neighborhood, and your organization.
The conference is free and includes lunch. A variety of Census promotional materials and resources will be available for attendees. Trainings and community panels will be held in multiple languages and translation will also be available.
